You may choose not to provide certain information; however, doing so may limit your ability to complete a rental transaction or access certain features of our Services.

b. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information about your device and browsing behavior through cookies and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visits, and referring website addresses. See Section 6 for more information on cookies and how to manage your preferences.

c. Telematics & GPS Data

Some of our rental equipment is fitted with GPS tracking or telematics devices. Where a unit is equipped, we collect location data, equipment status, usage metrics, and diagnostic information during the Rental Period. You will be informed whether a specific unit is tracked in your Rental Agreement prior to accepting the equipment.

Machine-mounted telematics systems cannot be individually disabled and are a condition of renting a tracked unit. When our mobile application becomes available, it will separately request device location permission, which you may control through your device settings at any time. Disabling app-level location access does not affect machine-mounted telematics on rented equipment.

d. Information We Receive from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party service providers in connection with delivering our Services. These providers may include our payment processor, our rental management platform, insurance program partners that confirm coverage elections and provide claim-related information, and identity verification services that assist in verifying government-issued identification submitted in connection with a rental.

Information received from third parties is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the terms under which those third parties originally collected it. See Section 5 for a current list of our primary third-party service providers and a description of their roles.

We periodically evaluate and update the third-party services we use. When we engage a new provider that receives or processes your personal information in a material way, we will update Section 5 accordingly before that sharing begins.

7. Telematics & GPS Data: Additional Disclosures

  • Scope: Machine-mounted telematics collect data about the equipment associated with your rental. This is an equipment management tool, not a continuous personal tracking system.
  • Duration: We collect telematics data from the moment you take possession of the equipment until it is returned. We do not collect telematics data outside the Rental Period.
  • Your Worksite: Telematics data reveals where equipment is being used. We use this for fleet management, loss prevention, and compliance verification. We do not sell or share worksite location data with competitors, real estate interests, or data brokers.
  • Law Enforcement: If we receive a valid legal demand for telematics data, we will comply. If equipment is reported stolen, we will cooperate with law enforcement immediately. We will notify you of law enforcement requests unless legally prohibited from doing so.
  • Mobile App: When our mobile application becomes available, app-based location data will support rental management features. You may withdraw app location permission at any time through your device settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

Where records exist in both physical and digital form, the same retention periods apply to both. Physical records are stored securely and destroyed by secure means at the end of their applicable retention period. Digital records are deleted or de-identified at the end of their applicable retention period.

Notice will describe the nature of the breach, categories of information affected, steps we are taking in response, and steps you can take to protect yourself.

13. Third-Party Websites & Links

Our website and booking portal may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
